Enyimba host Remo Stars in Aba, seek to extend winning run

Enyimba will hope to extend their unbeaten run in the Nigeria Premier Football League when they host Remo Stars in a rescheduled matchday five encounter in Aba on Wednesday (today).

The reigning NPFL champions are on a three-game winning streak after seeing out Lobi Stars, Bendel Insurance and Heartland respectively.

Finidi George’s side are fifth on the table, four points behind leaders Lobi stars.

Enyimba have netted four goals and conceded once in the last three games.

The Aba giants will be counting on their defenders to tame the firing power of Remo Stars attack.

Remo Stars have scored 15 goals in the NPFL this season.

Daniel Ogunmodede’s side will be without forward, Franck Mawuena for the encounter as he is sidelined with a knee injury.

Remo Stars failed to beat Doma United at home last weekend despite creating numerous goal scoring chances.

Enyimba were held to a 1-1 draw by Remo Stars in the same fixture last season.

Chijoke Mbaoma’s last minute goal secured a point for the host after Philip Odubia netted for Remo Stars in the first-half.
