Enyimba defender Chilekwu ruled out for three weeks with groin injury

Enyimba defender Chigozie Chilekwu has been ruled out for three weeks with a groin injury.

Chilekwu was stretchered off during the People’s Elephant Nigeria Premier Football League matchday eight clash against Kano Pillars last weekend.

The player missed the Aba giants’ rescheduled matchday four fixture against Doma United on Wednesday.

Enyimba suffered a 1-0 defeat in the encounter at the Pantami Stadium.

It was Finidi George’s side’s third defeat of the campaign.

The 27-year-old left-back has featured in all of Enyimba’s league outings this season.

Chilekwu is expected to miss the week nine and 10 matches against Lobi Stars and Heartland, respectively.

Enyimba remain in the bottom half of the log following the defeat.
