The Enugu State Government on Wednesday announced it has commenced online and physical verification of local government staff.
The government said the verification exercise was sought to achieve the objective of sanitising the state’s local government system.
This was made known in a statement signed by Professor Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government and Chairman Local Government staff verification committee.
The statement directed all serving staff in the State Local Government system to visit the state website to complete the Online Verification Form with their details.
Onyia also said the portal will open on Thursday, 11th January and close on Thursday, 18th January 2024.
He requested staff to proceed to their respective LGA Payroll Officers to obtain their verification number(s), which he said will be used to access the portal to fill out the online verification form.
According to him, the physical verification exercise will commence on a date to be announced later.
