Despite the appeal by President Bola Tinubu, urging Nigerian youths to suspend the ongoing nationwide protests against the high cost of living, protesters in Edo State stormed the road on Sunday morning for a live church service.
The protesters gathered at the Agho junction on Ekenhuan road, Benin City, praying to God for intervention in the several crises rocking the nation at the moment.
DAILY POST recalls that President Tinubu on Sunday morning addressed Nigerians on the ongoing nationwide EndBadGovernance protests.
The president, who expressed sadness over the loss of lives and properties after hoodlums hijacked the protest, appealed to the youths to suspend the exercise.
Tinubu while reeling out some steps taken by the Federal Government to alleviate the suffering, said the country’s economy is already on its way to recovery.
His speech was vehemently criticized by Nigerians who claimed that the president failed to address their demands.
