EndBadGovernance Day 2: Imo relatively calm as Police advise residents not to panic

As the nationwide protest enters its second day, the Imo State Police Command have enjoined residents to continue remaining peaceful as they go about their lawful engagements.

The Command in the press statement issued by its Spokesperson, ASP Henry Okoye informed that the command in synergy with the heads of other sister agencies was out for confidence-building patrol and operation show of force across the length and breadth of the State urging residents not to panic at siting any security outfit.

“No protest of any kind is ongoing in the State. Monitoring continues. The State is relatively calm and peaceful, Imolites are going about their lawful businesses” the release stated.

The press statement further urged the people to be security conscious and report any suspicious person or activity within their vicinity to the nearest Police Station.

The atmosphere in the state is calm, people are going about their business activities, and shops are open though, banks still remain under lock and key.
