The Kano State House of Assembly has described as fake, speculations that it has not reopened for plenary over security, emanating from the recurring emirate tussle issues.
The spokesperson to the Speaker, Kamaluddeen Shawai told NAN on Wednesday that the viral news “is simply fake and baseless”.
Shawai urged the good people of the state to disregard any report insinuating that the assembly has not reopened for plenary due to insecurity caused by the emirate tussle.
“The purported fear of attacks and delay in resuming the plenary are nothing but the works of mischievous elements within society.
“The assembly will resume plenary very soon,” he assured.
He reiterated the assembly’s commitment to work with Gov. Abba Kabir-Yusuf for the overall development of the state.
Shawai urged the residents to keep praying for peace and unity in the state and the country as a whole.
