Nigeria’s National Spelling Bee Champion, Miss Flourish Ajibola, has landed in Kampala, Uganda, gearing up for the world spelling bee competition.
Ajibola and her tutor, Mr Gbenga Ogunlade, left Nigeria over the weekend, following the fulfilment of Governor Oyebanji’s pledge to foot the bill for the trip to the international competition.
DAILY POST recalls that two months ago, Governor Oyebanji had pledged to foot the bills for Ajibola’s participation at the world championship in Uganda when he received the student of the Saint Lawrence Metropolitan School, Ado Ekiti, in his office, accompanied by her school’s proprietor, Laurence Oluwafemi.
The Ekiti State governor had then approved the full sponsorship of Ajibola’s trip to the upcoming competition in Kampala.
