Ekiti State Assembly gets new clerk

The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye, on Monday, approved the appointment of Mrs Titilope Agbede as the new Clerk of the Assembly.

This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Speaker, Mr Babjide Agbeyo, in Ado-Ekiti.

According to the statement, the appointment was decided after a thorough screening process and in line with Section 9(1) of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Commission Law, 2022.

Agbede takes over from the Assembly’s Deputy Clerk, Opeyemi Ajibola, who has been acting since May.

The new clerk, whose appointment is subject to confirmation by the House, hails from Ikole Local Government Area of the state.

She was the Deputy Clerk (Legislative Matters) before her new appointment.
