Eid-Kabir: FRSC deploys 592 personnel in Bauchi

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Bauchi State has announced the deployment of 592 personnel to manage road issues during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The Sector Commander, FRSC, in the state, Patrick Ikaba, made the announcement at a press conference in Bauchi on Friday.

Ikaba stated that the deployment would consist of 467 regular corps members and 125 Special Marshals, adding that the personnel would work to prevent and respond to road accidents and clear any obstruction.

Ikaba also revealed that 19 vehicles, including five ambulances, one light-duty tow truck, and 13 patrol vehicles, will be deployed for highway surveillance, speed control, and alerting motorists to obstructions.

“Communication equipment will be used at their optimum level, and interconnectivity will receive the desired attention,” he said.

“We are prepared to serve you well and respond to all crash information. We have personnel on standby 24 hours a day to attend to emergency needs on our highways.”

Ikaba mentioned that the FRSC is collaborating with other security agencies to ensure a smooth Sallah festival.

According to him, health service providers will also be available to offer prompt assistance to victims of road traffic crashes, aiming to reduce fatalities.

The Sector Commander emphasised the FRSC’s goal to ensure the safety of Nigerians on the roads and urged all motorists to adhere to traffic rules and regulations.
