Eid-El-Fitri: Ebonyi CP directs deployment of personnel

The Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State Command, CP Augustina Ogbodo, has directed the deployment of personnel across the state to ensure safety of lives and property.

To this end, all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Tactical/Operational Unit Commanders, operational and intelligence have been ordered to be on red alert to ensure adequate security in their areas of responsibility.

This was contained in a press statement by the command’s Public Relations officer, PPRO, DSP Joshua Ukandu in Abakiliki on Tuesday.

According to the statement, officers and men of the command felicitate with all Muslim Ummah as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-fitri, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

She enjoined the Muslim faithful in the state to observe the celebrations with responsibility, extend compassion to their neighbours, and incorporate the principles and sacrifices of the recently completed Ramadan into their everyday lives.

She also urged residents of the state to continue being law-abiding and to quickly report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
