Edo: We’re ready to go against cultists – Obaseki

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has reiterated his commitment to stamp out cult-related activities in the state.

Obaseki made this declaration in a post on his X handle on Monday.

In view of ridding the state of cultism, the governor said the state government had passed anti-cultism law that would soon be implemented.

He said: “We have decided to go full blast against cultists and cultism in the state and have now passed an anti-cultism law that will be implemented to its fullest.

“Also, we have banned the activities of Okaigheles (youth leaders) in the Edo South Senatorial District of the State.”
