Edo Queens goalkeeper, Christian Obia is full of excitement following her maiden invitation to the Super Falcons.
Obia was among the 21 players listed for the Super Falcons’ 2024 African Women’s Cup of Nations against Cape Verde.
The young goalie stated it was a dream come true for her to get the call-up.
“Am overjoyed to share the news of my first call-up to the Nigeria senior women’s national team,” she posted on her X handle.
“From our 2019 African Games triumph in Morocco to this, it’s a dream come true. Grateful for the opportunity, excited for the new chapter, and ready to give my all.
“What GOD cannot do, does not exist.”
The Super Falcons are scheduled to take on Cape Verde at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Thursday, November 30
The return leg is on Tuesday, December 5th.
The winner will qualify for the 2024 WAFCON which will be hosted by Morocco.
