Edo APC stalwart demands governorship ticket from Ganduje

The South-South organising secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Blessing Agbomhere, has asked the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje, to hand him the party’s governorship ticket in Edo State.

His plea was contained in a letter to Ganduje in which he claimed to be the right person to rekindle the growth former Governor Adams Oshiomhole brought to the state.

Stressing his loyalty to the party, he wrote that in 2016, Governor Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shuaibu, were chosen over him when he ran for the APC Edo Governorship Primary.

Agbomhere noted: “In 2017 when I contested the House of Representatives primary, another person was chosen.”

Speaking on Obaseki, he said: “When he abandoned the party, I stood with the party. I have committed my expertise, and resources to supporting the APC in Edo and across the nation.”

Stressing that “I have worked for the party,” he urged Ganduje to reward his loyalty by handing him the APC ticket for the coming governorship election.

“As Executive Governor, Edo State will witness the rekindling of the massive growth and development sparked by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s administration in a new dimension,” he wrote in the letter.
