Delta: Protesters urged to exercise caution on Day-2

As the #EndBadGovernanceProtest in Delta State enters its second day, the Situation Room has issued a statement urging protesters to exercise caution and adhere to guidelines.

According to the statement signed by Comrade Awipi Teduolo, protesters are advised to maintain peaceful conduct, avoid violence, and refrain from destroying property or confronting security forces.

The Situation Room also emphasized the importance of sticking to approved protest routes, being aware of potential security threats, and prioritizing physical well-being by bringing water, snacks, and wearing comfortable clothing.

Additionally, protesters were advised to respect the law, maintain anonymity by wearing masks or protective gear, stay connected with fellow protesters, and be prepared for emergencies by knowing the location of nearby hospitals and essential services.

The statement also warned against engaging with individuals or groups trying to incite violence or disrupt the protest, and urged protesters to follow instructions from designated leaders and marshals.

The goal of the protest, according to the Situation Room, was to advocate for positive change, not to engage in destructive behavior.

“By being mindful of these cautions, protesters can ensure a safe and successful event,” it said.
