.. urge young girls to secure a bright future through the pageant

The First Lady of Cross River State, Rev Mrs Eyoanwan Bassey Otu is sponsoring 20 young girls from across the state to participate in the Queen of Humanity Pageant, which offers a grand prize of 5 million Naira and a brand new car to the winner.
The governor’s wife made the call in Calabar when she announced the sponsorship of 20 registration forms for interested contestants in Queen of Humanity Pageant. The first lady also highlighted the importance of educating young girls and empowering them to become successful and independent individuals.
This is happening in the build up to Carnival Calabar & Festival which will light up the city of Calabar, capital of Cross River State, with a Carnival and Festival theme tagged; “Season of Sweetness”, the state government has rolled out a well-curated calendar of events to make this year’s Carnival and Festival a memorable package and worthwhile experience.
Mrs Eyoawan Otu urged young Nigerian girls to take advantage of the Queen of Humanity Pageant in Cross River State as a way of discovering their talents and purpose, also as a way of positively affecting humanity.
The first lady encouraged young girls to use the opportunity to secure a bright future for themselves and their families, as the pageant is designed to promote confidence, leadership skills, and self-development.
The Special Adviser Events Management, Governor’s Office, Mr. Effiong Ekpenyong hinted that top amongst the many events to look out for on the calendar will be the “Queen of Humanity” Cross River Pageant, billed for December 27th, 2023 at the Calabar International Conference Centre and will be televised live on DSTV to about 52 countries.
Queen of Humanity Cross River pageant is open to all young Nigerian girls between the ages of 18 and 24 years, interested contestants are to log on to www.queenofhumanitycrs.org to register for auditions which will take place in Lagos, Abuja and Calabar.
The winner will be the country’s humanitarian ambassador and an icon for humanity, enjoy other ambassadorial privileges, in addition to a cash prize of 5 million naira, an SUV.
