Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede has urged stakeholders to continue supporting the agency in its fight against corruption in Nigeria.
In a Christmas message released on Monday, Olukoyede noted that the stakeholders’ steady support was important in tackling corruption and moving the nation forward.
He noted that leaving the economic and financial crimes war alone for the Commission may not yield expected and significant result but with the support of stakeholders and the people, there would be a great impact.
“Your partnership with us in the all-important engagement of fighting economic and financial crimes, is impactful, incomparable and greatly fulfilling.
“I want to use this occasion to appreciate your sacrifices, commitment and faithfulness to the cause and mandate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
“Please, keep seeing yourself as a pillar in the fight, a potent force and a sturdy soldier in the great army. Your steady support is all that is needed to move our nation forward.
“Let’s keep advancing together, if we walk alone we may move faster but we only move stronger and farther when we walk together,” the EFCC chairman said.
