Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, has highlighted the importance of Saturday’s win at West Brom to the team’s promotion quest.
The Foxes defeated Carlos Corberan’s men 2-1 at the Hawthorns with Harry Winks netting the winner in stoppage time.
Ndidi provided the assist for Kiernan Dewberry-Hall opener which was cancelled out later by Josh Maja.
Leicester City maintained top position on the table and remain on course to secure an immediate return to the top-flight after their relegation last season.
“It was really brilliant,”he told the club’s official website.
“You could see how we acted on the bench and all the fans. It was really amazing because we actually needed it.
“We know it is very tight at the moment with the fact that the last game was not the best game, but we knew if we could get this, it’s really amazing because it gives us more steps ahead. It was really good.”
Enzo Maresca’s men will be back in action again on Saturday when they will welcome Plymouth Argyle to the King Power Stadium.
