Champions League: SuperComputer predicts winner ahead of quarter-final ties

The Opta Supercomputer has named the favourites to win this year’s Champions League ahead of the quarter-finals.

Manchester City face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, while Arsenal come up against Bayern Munich this week. The winner of these ties will play each other.

On the other side of the draw, Barcelona take on PSG and Borussia Dortmund will face Atletico Madrid.

Opta has given Atletico Madrid only a 5% chance of winning the trophy, according to the data.

Arsenal are analysed to have a 13.6% chance of winning the competition and a 58.5% chance of making the semi-finals.

PSG are the third favourites with 14.7% and Real Madrid are thought to have a 15% chance of lifting the trophy.

Pep Guardiola’s men have been backed by the data to retain their title and are thought to have a 60% chance of making the semi-finals and beating Real Madrid, with a 41.2% chance of making it all the way to Wembley.
