The Pot 1 for the Champions League draw next season will not contain Arsenal.
From next season, the competition will take on a new format, with the traditional group stage replaced by a league format.
The Champions League has also been expanded from 32 teams to 36.
The draw takes place on August 29 and will split all qualified teams into four seeding pots.
The UEFA club coefficient is used to determine which team goes in each pot.
From there, each team will be drawn to play two opponents from each of these pots.
Manchester City and Liverpool are expected to make it into Pot 1, while Arsenal, would be placed in Pot 2.
Aston Villa are likely to find themselves in Pot 4, but Unai Emery’s men could also be in Pot 3 depending on who makes it through the qualification rounds this summer.
