Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has opened up on the tactics that saw his team eliminate Manchester City from the Champions League this season.
The Spanish giants saw off City in the quarter-finals and will take on Borussia Dortmund in the final this Saturday.
Real drew 3-3 with Pep Guardiola’s men at the Bernabeu, before winning on penalties after drawing at the Etihad.
“You see, there is no ‘Ancelotti style’ – there is no style for me because I change.
“Against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final, we played low block, strong defence. We have played that way this season one or two times, no more.”
“We don’t play like that, we are more attacking. But I saw that as the way to compete and to win that game,” Ancelotti said.
