Carragher snubs Alex Ferguson, names best manager in Premier League history

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has named Pep Guardiola as the best manager in Premier League history.

Guardiola has won six titles in the last seven years.

The 53-year-old arrived in England in 2016 and endured a challenging first season.

But the former Bayern Munich has since won the league title every year, except the 2019/2020 campaign when Liverpool claimed the crown.

Carragher, speaking on the latest Stick to Football podcast, said: “I’d put Pep Guardiola top of Premier League [history].

“Sir Alex Ferguson, what he did at Aberdeen, maybe puts him above Pep, but in terms of the Premier League, Guardiola has won six in seven [titles], and he’s only been here for eight years.
