Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has hits out at Chelsea attacker Noni Madueke for his performance during the Blues’ Carabao Cup final 1-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday evening.
Shearer said Madueke wasted three good opportunities against Liverpool during the encounter.
Recall that Virgil van Dijk headed in a corner from Kostas Tsimikas in the 118th minute to give Jurgen Klopp’s side the victory over Chelsea at Wembley.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Shearer said: “Madueke has had three really good opportunities and he has wasted all of them.
“He did exactly what Liverpool wanted him to do there.”
Madueke joined Chelsea from PSV in 2023.
