The statement by the spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said that in a move to stem the tide, the command would be embarking on vigorous checks in the affected areas which may result in slow traffic flow.

“The Commissioner of Police therefore appeals to motorists for their understanding as the action is in the interest of their safety and security,” Nguroje stated.
