CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United off to Tunis for Club Africain clash

Rivers United have departed the country for their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Club Africain of Tunisia.

The Pride of Rivers departed the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, aboard an Egypt Air flight at 2:45 pm on Sunday.

The contingent, which consists of players and officials, is expected to arrive in Tunis on Monday.

The matchday four tie will take place at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi Stadium, Rades, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

The match is billed to kick off at 8 pm.

Rivers United defeated the North African side 1-0 last Sunday.

Nyima Nwagua scored the only goal of the game.

Rivers United occupy the second position on the Group A table with six points from four games.
