CAF Champions League: Rangers eliminated by Angola’s Sagrada Esperanca

Nigerian champions Rangers were eliminated from the CAF Champions League by Angola’s Sagrada Esperanca on Sunday.

Rangers lost the second preliminary round reverse tie 3-1.

The Flying Antelopes exited the competition 3-2 on aggregate.

The country’s other representative in the competition, Remo Stars, was eliminated in the first round.

Nigerian clubs have failed to reach the lucrative group stage of the competition in recent years.

Enyimba is currently the only Nigerian club left on the continent.
