Boko Haram: Troops neutralise four terrorists

The troops of Sector 3, Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), said they had killed four Boko Haram terrorists on Friday in Malam Fatori in the northern part of Borno State.

Chief Military Public Information Officer of MNJTF, Lt. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, made this known in a statement released in Maiduguri.

Abdullahi said the terrorists were killed in Walo (Gashigar) and Kudagurgu villages.

According to him, when troops advanced to Gashigar to clear the remnants of Boko Haram fighters, two terrorists were encountered and killed at Walo Walada.

He also said the operation resulted in the recovery of 29 rounds of 7.62-millimeter special ammunition, three magazines, and AK-47 rifles.

“Similarly, troops deployed in Malam Fatori conducted a fighting patrol to Kudagurgu, where two other terrorists were neutralised, and a significant cache of items, including IED-making materials, one AK-47 rifle, and three magazines, were recovered,” the statement affirmed.

He added that the MNJTF remains resolute in its commitment to achieve its mandate in Nigeria.
