Beach Soccer AFCONQ: Supersand Eagles floor Mauritania away

The Supersand Eagles of Nigeria overpowered their hosts Mauritania 5-4 in the first leg of their Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Nouakchott.

Despite their late preparation for the game, the Supersand Eagles put up a resolute display to come out tops.

It was the team’s first competitive outing in five years.

Experienced duo, Victor Tale and Emeka Ogbonna played a crucial role in the win.

Abdullahi Isa’s side will now shift attention to the reverse fixture which will hold on Saturday, July 27 in Nigeria.

A draw will be enough for the Supersand Eagles to secure qualification to the 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
