Babaganaru commends Akwa United’s players after win against Kano Pillars

Akwa United head coach, Mohammed Babaganaru has commended his players for their positive approach in the win over Kano Pillars.

Babaganaru acknowledged the importance of the victory in the team’s battle against relegation.

Veteran forward, Ubong Friday scored in each half, while substitute Mubarak Said netted the other goal.

“It’s a good thing that we have secured the victory we needed,” he stated in a post-match interview.

“After our away defeat to Kwara, we came back and planned on how to win this game and we thank God that it worked out the way we planned.

“We still have six more matches before the end of the season and we know the importance of those games, so we have to continue with what we are doing because the level of improvement in the team is encouraging.”

Akwa United have 37 points from 32 games and stay 16th on the log with six matches till the end of the season.
