Gombe United head coach Mohammed Babaganaru has attributed the team’s poor run of form to lack of support from the state government.
Babaganaru said the players have failed to deliver because of the fatigue from their poor travelling arrangements.
He revealed that the team struggled to travel for away matches.
Gombe United have recorded one point from eight away games.
“Physically the boys are not working because of the fatigue because we have continued to arrive late for away matches,” he told reporters.
“The Gombe State Government are not encouraging, we always struggle to travel for away games.
“If the government is ready they should come and help the club the major problem with the team is finance because the team lacks motivation.”
Gombe United suffered a 2-1 loss against Abia Warriors at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Thursday.
The Savannah Scorpions dropped down to 14th position on the table following the defeat.
