Assist us, report suspicious movements, in your area – Oyo CP tells residents

Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Adebola Hamzat has appealed to residents of the state to report any suspicious movements in their various domains to the police for appropriate actions.

Hamzat made this declaration during the flag off of the construction of a police station initiated by a member of the State House of Assembly representing Oluyole state constituency, Waheed Akintayo.

The CP, while addressing the gathering, said that the situation in the country calls for community policing.

He maintained that the issue of security could no longer be handled by the government alone.

He then appealed to the people of the state to report any suspicious movements to the police for appropriate actions to be taken.

Hamzat further stressed that the essence of community policing is to bring policing closer to the people and ensure that every individual lives in a safe and secured environment.
