The Plateau State House of Assembly has been cordoned off by men of the Nigeria Police Force ahead of its resumed sitting on Tuesday.
Security was beefed up by the police following the resolve of the 16 former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, lawmakers to resume sitting today despite their sack by the Appeal Court.
The state Command deployed its men to the complex as a proactive measure against any invasion of the sitting by hoodlums.
There are fears of a possible clash between the 16 PDP lawmakers sacked by the Court of Appeal and All Progressives Congress, APC, lawmakers declared winner.
