Anambra CP contacts Kogi counterpart over kidnapped commissioner, wife

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Nnaghe Itam has reached out to his Kogi State counterpart to rally support for the release of the abducted Commissioner for Youths Development, Patrick Aghamba.

Aghamba was reportedly kidnapped around Kogi State while on a road journey to Abuja to attend the wedding of Adaora, the daughter of Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.

He was said to have been kidnapped alongside his wife, while an aide who was travelling with him was killed by the abductors.

He said: “We got the news like everyone else this morning, but the Commissioner of Police in Anambra, CP Enaghe Obono Itam has reached out to the CP in that state (Kogi) rallying him to action to see how they can be freed.
