Akwa United gets CAF invitation to general assembly

The Confederation of African Football has invited Nigeria Premier Football League side Akwa United to join in a two-day General Assembly meeting.

The Promise Keepers will witness the launching of the African Clubs Association.

The meeting is billed for November 29-30 at the Marriott Mena House, Cairo.

Akwa United chairman, Elder Paul Bassey will lead the contingents to the General Assembly Meeting.

DAILY POST recalls that Enyimba was selected by CAF to participate in the maiden edition of the African Football League.

The two-time CAF Champions League winners crashed out in the quarter-final stage of the competition.
