A socio cultural organisation of the Annang people in Akwa Ibom State, AFE ANNANG has felicitated with Chief Saviour Enyiekere Ph.D on his appointment as Chairman , National Assembly Service Commission by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a letter of congratulations sent Dr. Enyiekere and signed by the Itai Afe Annang “V” , His Majesty, Obong Blaise U. Awaka-Ama and dated, the 25th day of February, 2025, the group expresses optimism in Enyiekere’s capacity to deliver. It reads, ” You have always been a light at every opportunity given to you to deliver. Given your pedigree of selfless service delivery, we are confident that you will equally excel in this new call to your fatherland”.
The group also expressed appreciation to the President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for finding Dr. Enyiekere worthy for such a position. They also extended their appreciation to their son and Senate President of Nigeria, Chief. Godswill Akpabio for facilitating the appointment of Dr. Enyiekere as well as other prominent sons and daughters of Annang land and Akwa Ibom State in general.
The group, Afe Annang also urged the Chairman Designate, National Assembly Service Commission , Dr. Saviour Enyiekere to use his office to create an imprints in the sands of time both in Annang land and in Akwa Ibom State. They stated, ” As you explore the domain of national politics, remember the east west road. Do not forget your nativity. As you strive to serve your nation, leave your imprimatur on the sand of Annang land. Posterity will always remember you for your contributions in uplifting Annang land at your time and opportunity. Dr. Saviour Enyiekere, a seasoned politician and a thorough bred administrator is the first indigene of South South , Nigeria to occupy the position of Chairman, National Assembly Service Commission. His appointment by President Bola Tinubu has garnered torrent of congratulatory messages across the country. Nigerians express optimism in his capacity to deliver in his newly assigned role.
