AFCON: Peseiro threatens to expel errant Super Eagles stars ahead of Angola clash

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has threatened to expel any member of the squad who flouts his rules from the team’s camp.

The Portuguese coach was given the target of reaching the semi-final of the tournament by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

And Peseiro is leaving nothing to chance ahead of Friday’s quarter-final clash against Angola.

Some of the laws laid down are that the players must not be late to team meetings or pick telephone calls during meetings. They must also obey team curfews with bed time being 11pm and no female visitors are welcomed.

The players have been completely cordoned off on the fourth floor of the Pullman Hotel in Abidjan, with the team’s chief security officer on all-round surveillance.

“Peseiro has gone tough on the players. He warned that he will not hesitate to expel any player who flouts camp rules as they stay on course to win the AFCON.

“The man is just a game away from reaching the target the NFF set for him to get a new contract and as such he is not smiling or joking,” a source told SCORENigeria.
