Belgian Pro League outfit, Royal Antwerp has celebrated Alhassan Yusuf’s inclusion in Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Yusuf was confirmed as replacement for the injured Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi on Wednesday.
It’s the first time the 23-year-old has been invited to the Super Eagles.
“Alhassan Yusuf has just been called up to the Nigerian national team. Good luck at the Africa Cup, Yus!, the Belgian champions wrote on their X account.
The former IFK Goteborg of Sweden player is expected to join the Super Eagles at their Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates base later today.
17 players are already in the team’s camp.
