Kwara United goalkeeper, Adewale Adeyinka has expressed optimism that Stanley Nwabali will be available for Nigeria’s clash with Angola.
Nwabali was stretchered off in the second half of Nigeria’s Round of 16 victory over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
Adeyinka pointed out that Nwabali has proved to be a good ambassador of the Nigeria Premier Football League with his performance at the Africa Cup of Nations.
“Always remember with God all things are possible and we believe you’ll make it back in time to Angola,” he wrote on his X handle.
“We’re proud of you and hope you keep representing the NPFL in the best way you can in the goal.”
Nigeria will face Angola at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Friday.
