AFCON 2023: Enyimba celebrate Ojo making Super Eagles squad

Enyimba have wished goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke best of luck as he embarked on the journey with the Super Eagles to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ojo was included in Jose Peseiro’s 25-man squad heading to Cote d’Ivoire for the competition.

He is the only local player listed in the squad by the Portuguese coach.

“From manning the sticks for the Elephants,” the Nigeria Premier Football League champions wrote on their official X handle.

“To the biggest stage on the continent with Nigeria Super Eagles for the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations.

“Best wishes Ojo from all of us at Enyimba FC.”

The Super Eagles will begin preparation for the competition in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on January 2, 2024.

The team will fly back to Lagos on Tuesday, January 9, and then travel to Abidjan, the Ivorian capital, on Wednesday, January 10.
