Ondo witnessed development under Akeredolu – Senator

Chairman, Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has declared that Ondo State witnessed tremendous development in all areas under former governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

Alli, who represents Oyo South senatorial district at the National Assembly, made this declaration on Wednesday.

DAILY POST recalls that the news of Akeredolu’s death was announced on Wednesday.

Alli, in his reaction, noted that Ondo State witnessed tremendous development under the former governor.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, Alli expressed deep sadness over Akeredolu’s demise.

The lawmaker in the statement made available to DAILY POST, said that the late Akeredolu’s legacy would continue to inspire generations of leaders to work towards a more prosperous and united Nigeria.

He added that Akeredolu was a
visionary leader and his commitment to good governance have left an indelible mark on the state.

“It is with a heavy heart that I extend my sincere condolence to his family, friends, and the great people of Ondo State during this difficult time.

“Under his administration, Ondo witnessed significant growth in various sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure amongst others.

“His passion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of our Party were truly inspiring. He was a true statesman and a beacon of hope for his people.

“In this moment of profound grief, it is my prayer that the family of the late governor finds solace and strength in the fact that served his people meritoriously,” he added.
