Akwa United caretaker coach, Umar Abdullahi has urged his players to give their all in their next Nigeria Premier Football League tie against Katsina United.
The Promise Keepers are languishing in 18th position with 15 points from 15 matches.
Abdullahi has stepped in to take charge of the team following Fatai Osho’s resignation last week.
Akwa United were held to a 0-0 draw by Sunshine Stars in Abdullahi’s first game in charge last week
The young tactician is, however, upbeat they will get a positive result against Katsina United.
“It’s been a rough road for us since the beginning of the season but I’m confident that the situation will change here in Katsina, “he told the club’s official media.
“We know what the issue is and we have done our best to address it in our training sessions. Our ball play is good, we always created chances but getting the ball into the back of the net seems to be a challenge.”
The matchday 16 encounter is slated for the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Thursday.
