The Zamfara State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Sani Mustapha, has charged newly promoted officers to brace up with the challenges that come with their new ranks.
Mustapha gave the charge during the decoration ceremony of the newly promoted officers at the State Command Headquarters, Gusau, Zamfara State capital.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesman, Ikor Oche SC.
The commandant extolled the benevolent gesture of the Commandant General, Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi, who approved the promotion of over 21,000 officers in the recent 2023 promotion exercise.
He averred that the Zamfara State Command had over 260 officers promoted to new ranks, saying it is a mark of good leadership as exemplified by the Commandant-General.
The State NSCDC boss, therefore, charged all the promoted officers to justify their promotion by showing more commitment to duties that may be assigned to them.
He immediately presented letters of redeployment to the newly promoted officers as they are to assume duty forthwith in their new areas of redeployments.
DCC Ahmed Arzika, who was also decorated, eulogized Audi for the privilege availed to the newly promoted officers.
On behalf of the newly promoted officers, he promised to redouble their efforts in the business of the Corps.
About four officers were promoted to the rank of Deputy Commandant of Corps, two officers to the rank of Assistant Commandants of Corps and five officers to the Rank of Chief Superintendent Corps.
Also, 27 officers were promoted to the rank of Superintendent while 50 officers to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Corps.
Forty-nine and 128 officers were elevated to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Corps 1 and 2 respectively.
