The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume, has felicitated with Christians as they mark the birth of Jesus Christ.
He enjoined Nigerians to eschew divisive tendencies capable of breaking the country.
Akume assured Nigerians of the unwavering commitment of President Bola Tinubu to the unity of the country and delivering on the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.
The SGF urged fellow Christians to embrace and internalize the teachings of the season, which includes love, tolerance, sacrifice, and peaceful coexistence as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
He prayed for peace and harmonious co-existence among Nigerians and enjoined all to eschew divisive tendencies.
The SGF also described this year’s Christmas as special for him as he is in Benue, his home state, for the first time since he assumed office.
He particularly thanked God Almighty for keeping him strong and healthy as he marks his 70th birthday on the 27th of December, 2023.
