Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino, has insisted that his side lost 2-1 by Wolves in the Premier League on Christmas Eve because his players were not clinical in front of goal.
Pochettino watched as two goals from Mario Lemina and Matt Doherty gave Wolves the victory over Chelsea.
Christopher Nkunku did score for the Blues at Molineux.
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Pochettino said: “Of course, we feel very disappointed.
“I think we deserve much more than we got but we cannot hide from the fact that in a competition as strong as the Premier League, if you are not clinical then you cannot complain [at the result].”
He added, “We created a lot of chances in the first half but did not score.
“In the second half, we conceded a few corners and then allowed Wolves to take the lead. They were more clinical and that is why the result is as it is.”
The result against Wolves leave Chelsea in the 10th position with 22 points from 18 games.
