Shooting Stars get goalkeeper Ovunda boost

Shooting Stars goalkeeper Darlington Ovunda is set to return to the team after an injury layoff, DAILY POST reports.

Ovunda picked up a foot injury in the Oluyole Warriors’ matchday six encounter against Remo Stars.

According to Shooting Stars technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, the club’s medical team have given an assurance on his return.

The former Rivers United stopper missed out on Shooting Stars’ home clash against Niger Tornadoes at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Ovunda was replaced in the team by second-choice goalkeeper Chinedu Anozie in goal.

He has made six appearances for Shooting Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season, recording one clean sheet.
