Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has claimed his team are “one of the worst in Europe” when it comes to converting chances.
Xavi was reacting to Saturday’s 1-1 with Valencia in LaLiga.
After losing their previous two games in all competitions to Antwerp in the Champions League and Girona in the league, Barca were looking to bounce back at the Mestalla.
Against Valencia, Barca registered 16 shots, eight of which were on target, compared to four for their opponents on 11 efforts.
In their previous three games in all competitions, Xavi’s men have attempted 58 times, 22 of which have been on target and have resulted in five goals.
According to OptaJose, Barcelona are now the side with the most big chances missed (41) in Europe’s top five leagues.
“This match pretty much summarises the season for us. We train finishing but it depends on the players’ confidence.
“We have to be one of the teams with the worst finishing in Europe. I am very frustrated today,” Xavi said.
