In a fresh development in the ongoing political crisis rocking Rivers State, two members of the House of Representatives from the state on Friday expressed support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The lawmakers, Awaji-Inombek Abiante and Boma Goodhead, led various youth groups to march on the streets of Port Harcourt in support of the governor.
Goodhead represents Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency, while Abiante is the member representing Andoni/Opobo/Nkuro Federal Constituency.
They marched from the UTC Junction along Azikiwe Road, through Government House and ended at the State House of Assembly located along Moscow Road.
DAILY POST reports that the rift between the Rivers governor and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Terrritory, FCT, minister had created division and tension in the oil rich state.
