Kaduna bombing: ‘It will never happen again’ — Chief of Defence Staff

The Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, has apologized for the “accidental bombing” of Tundun Biri, a community in Kaduna State.

The CDS said the bombing “was never deliberate” and it won’t happen again.

Musa stated this on Wednesday while appearing before the House of Representatives Committee on Defence.

It would be recalled that the bombing of the community reportedly led to the death of over a hundred people with several others injured.

President Bola Tinubu also called for “a thorough and full-fledged investigation” into the bombing.

Speaking on the tragedy, Musa said, “We are taking steps to ensure that we address it and so that it doesn’t reoccur.

“We are meant to protect our citizens not to kill them. That is highly regrettable. We assure you that we will continue to work until everybody is free and there is no more threat to any life and property in Nigeria.”
