The Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, has decorated 69 newly promoted senior officers.
The Comptroller General of Immigration, Caroline Adepoju, said their promotion was a recognition and reward for hard work and diligence.
She stated this during the decoration ceremony on Tuesday in Abuja.
Adepoju, who urged the newly promoted officers to show greater dedication and commitment to service, said: “To whom more is given, much is expected. Under my watch, we expect transparency, more work, and dedication. We are out to ensure that we have a good image in the eyes of our compatriots, whom we serve.
“Eighteen senior officers were elevated from the rank of Comptroller of Immigration (CI) to Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration (ACGI).”
She congratulated them, prayed for God’s blessing, and wished them well in their new ranks, adding that deployment would begin immediately.
