A man and his girlfriend died in Ugborikoko Community of the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
The man had celebrated his girlfriend’s birthday bash with her at a night club before their death in the early hours of Monday.
It was learnt that after the deceased left the club, they went to the lady’s shop and put on the generating set inside before they slept.
They died before day break.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report on Tuesday morning in a telephone chat with our correspondent in Warri.
Meanwhile, sympathisers condemned the deceased for causing their families pain this yuletide.
Some said it could also be evil manipulations by their enemies.
