Championship: Leicester City boss reveals why Iheanacho missed win against Plymouth

Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca has revealed why Kelechi Iheanacho was left out of the side’s 4-0 win against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Iheanacho was not included in the Foxes matchday squad for the first time this season.

Maresca provided clarity on the situation with the Nigeria international.

“Kel (Kelechi Iheanacho) is ill,” he revealed on lcfc.com.

“Jamie [Vardy] had some problem and Macca (Kasey McAteer) has a muscular problem. I don’t think [they will be in contention for Millwall]. We’ll see but it’s difficult.”

The 27-year-old’s international teammate Wilfred Ndidi was on target for the Foxes in the game.
